Wriwo & the Wriwo Web Clipper extension · Last updated 18 July 2026
Who we are
Wriwo is a writing studio for authors and journalists, operated from Denmark. Contact: support@wriwo.com.
The Wriwo Web Clipper (Chrome extension)
The extension lets you save the page you are viewing to your own Wriwo account. It only does anything when you actively save a page – from the toolbar button or the right-click menu. When you save, the extension sends:
- the current page's URL and title,
- any tags and notes you type in the save window,
- the page's content (HTML) – but only when you choose to save it as an article, so the full text can be stored and searched in your research. Saving a plain link or a video does not send page content.
- your personal Wriwo access token (which you enter once in the extension settings).
The Wriwo app
When you use Wriwo you store the content you choose to save (notes, links, articles, videos, audio, images, manuscripts). Authentication is handled by Clerk. Files are stored on Cloudflare R2; data in a Neon Postgres database. Optional AI features process the relevant content with the configured AI provider only when you trigger them.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (hosting, database, storage, auth, and the AI/transcription providers used by features you trigger).
Your choices
You can delete saved items in the app, regenerate or revoke your access token at any time in Settings → Setup, and request deletion of your account by contacting us.
